The School of Social Development and Public Policy at Beijing Normal University invites early-career scholars of non-Chinese nationality to apply for a two-year (renewable) Assistant Professor position in social policy and/or development studies.
Candidates with prior teaching experience are preferred. The language of instruction is English, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach courses on social policy in international/comparative perspective, international development, research methods, academic writing, etc. The teaching load is two to three courses per academic year. The candidate is expected to advise students, and to actively participate in the running of the school’s English-taught master degree program for international students that was recently accredited by EADI (European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes). The candidate is also encouraged to conduct research in his/her own area of interest.
